Thomas M., a Fast Club member, sent me this article on the long term effects of fasting. While the approach used is a little different than what we’ve proposed in our fasting options, the effects are still startling.
It talks about how in the long run fasting:
- Reduces incidents of cancer
- Boosts the immune system
- Slows bone density loss, and
- Improves the mental ability of older patients (among other things)
While there are fantastic short term benefits that you have told me about from fasting including weight loss, elimination of allergies, and mental clarity, the more I read, the more I realise that the long term benefits are even better.
